Granby

Pony Club Mission

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community

in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

Granby Pony Club is a member of the United States Pony Club's New York/Upper Connecticut Region.  Granby Pony Club was founded in 1963, nine years after the national organization, USPC, was founded in 1954.  Pony Club has three basic goals:  the instruction of riding, the instruction of various mounted sports, and the teaching of horse care to thousands of youngsters across America.  Pony Club is unique among riding organizations because its educational programs place equal emphasis on the teaching of skills, horse care fundamentals and team participation with sportsmanship.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Due to the restrictions that have been implemented to control the COVID-19 virus all Pony Club activity is currently on hold.  There will be no mounted or unmounted meetings through the month of April 2020.  The status of our May 17 show is currently unknown, but thoughts of postponing until fall are being discussed.  Thank you to all our sponsors who have already supported us, and we will be in touch as to our plans.
